SEXTING! Seems Teens Do It LESS Than Even We Thought?

Ah that old nugget is back, SEXTING! The list of celebrity regret is awesome, Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, Kat Dennings, Scarlett Johansson, Rihanna, The Weiner, Snooki and Miley Cyrus, all armed with a smartphone, a mirror and a penchant for flashing the flesh. Clearly highpants loves these dribbles and drabs from celebs, there is a more real side to all this though – Regret!? While flashing flesh might be an integral part of the PR machine that is the entertainment industry, in our normal humdrum lives naughty pix can be a pain.

Smart Phones are being used by teens for sexual exploration via the exchange of sexually suggestive content (sexting). Sexting includes explicit text, and nude or semi-nude personal pictures or videos captured on a cell phone or digital camera and sent via personal texts, emails, and instant messages. (Uhls et al, 2011). Pew research in 2009 found that 4% of adolescents report sending sexts while 15% report receiving them. The report also found that there was no difference in the amount of sexts sent or received even when parents checked their children’s cell phones. We’ve been on a rant for the last six months - SEXTING! - nasty, dirty celebrities taking nasty dirty pix of themselves NAKED!

Our tag has been all about the irresponsible behaviour these supposed grown-ups have inflicted on young impressionable minds.

Along the way we’ve been truly surprised at who has popped up in the SEXTING STAKES.

Everyone expected Lilo to get her kit off, no one was hugely shocked at Gossip Girls Blake Lively admiring her breast bits? Scarlett Johansson kind of came out of left field!

SEXTING! LiLo's Lost Phone

According to our source Lindsay Lohan came scrapingly close to being the next celebrity to fall the victim of a cell phone leak – Sexting, Naked Self Portrait via iPhone. Luckily for LiLo, the samaritan who found her phone had no interest in getting involved in all that Hollywood gossip – have to love a New Yorker. Our favorite 25-year-old starlet reportedly lost her phone while out and about in NYC for Fashion Week. LiLo apparently dropped the phone while leaving the V Magazine party. How did the finder know that it was LiLo’s phone? Apparently the phone said “Lindsay Lohan’s Phone” when the semaritan turned it on! She’s a clever girl our LiLo.  The phone doubtlessly held some incriminating photos that LiLo wouldn’t want anyone to see! Don’t worry though, there won’t be any naked pix of Lindsay hitting this here interweb anytime soon. LiLo was said to be “ecstatic” when her phone was returned. She was also relieved that the person who found it didn’t try to extort money from her or sell the photos to the tabloids. Lucky for LiLo, one of the few remaining nice people in the world did the right thing.  … the phone contained  a heap of important contacts,  phone numbers and emails, as well as personal photos and “a lot of stuff” that she wouldn’t want published. Looks as though our LiLo’s luck has finally turned!? D★D

NSFW! Scarlett Johansson

Unfortunately it’s a dubious proposition, Johansson has a new movie out early next year, the much hyped Avengers. She’s also been a little quiet on the PR trail of late?

Regardless, the interweb is once more abuzz with naked private pictures of a celebrity. When are these people going to learn, it’s inappropriate to take naked snaps? If what you desire is a lily-white reputation, to be able to set a solid moral example for your younger more impressionable fans – DON’T TAKE THE HAPPY SNAPS!  it seems Ms Johansson has called in the FBI to track down those nasty phone hackers.

An FBI spokesman declined to confirm or deny any investigation was underway, and a representative for Ms Johansson was not available to comment.

Ms Johansson has apparently turned to her attorney Marty Singer to do the dirty work of making sure everybody in the world pulls down the dirty pix. NSFW!! SEXTING: The NEW Phone Sex, Naked Self Portrait via iPhone

Stories like the 23-year-old woman who dropped her smart phone in a restaurant car park in South Carolina. She thought her treasured photos would be lost forever. Imagine the shock, when nude pictures she had taken on the phone started being sent to people in her contact list. The woman from Spartanburg County called in police when friends began receiving the risqué messages of her posing naked. By the time her phone was disconnected by her network, the naked pix had reached the rest of the world.

Sexting isn’t confined to gender, just ask The Wiener.  So is sexting a dismiss-able event? Sure, we’ve all done something in our personal lives that we might not be so proud of. And sure, most everybody is willing to forgive politicians, even accept that it’s just a part of normal for celebrities. There’s always some kind of weirdness out there, isn’t there? Twilight starlet Ashley Greene is the latest female celebrity to join the “Naked Self Portrait via iPhone” swing thats going through Hollywood! Ms Greene has managed to stay relatively sweet despite the massive success of Twilight, that’s clearly just changed now that she’s got her very own set of naked pics.
