JUST A REMINDER – for my ISP + Google – Burlesque is a literary, dramatic or musical work intended to cause laughter by caricaturing the manner or spirit of serious works, or by ludicrous treatment of their subjects. The word derives from the Italian burlesco, which itself derives from the Italian burla: a joke, ridicule or mockery.
Burlesque overlaps in meaning with caricature, parody and travesty, and, in its theatrical sense, with extravaganza, as presented during the Victorian era. “Burlesque” has been used in English in this literary and theatrical sense since the late 17th century. It has been applied retrospectively to works of Chaucer and Shakespeare and to the Graeco-Roman classics.
Contrasting examples of literary burlesque are Alexander Pope’s sly The Rape of the Lock and Samuel Butler’s irreverent Hudibras. An example of musical burlesque is Richard Strauss’s 1890 Burleske for piano and orchestra. Examples of theatrical burlesques include W. S. Gilbert’s Robert the Devil and the A. C. Torr – Meyer Lutz shows, including Ruy Blas and the Blasé Roué. source: wikipedia :: Read the full NSFW! post + check the gallery »»»»

We’ve enjoyed dipping our toes into the muddy pond of celebrity gossip, following great news aggregaters like TMZ and Perez Hilton, publishing filthy laundry on the private lives of very public people. Problem is sometimes the truth is just that, the plain old truth.
September 2011, looking back, it’s plain as day that something was bugging celebrities on the internet, Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis, Renee Olstead and of course – much to our shock-horror – Scarlett Johansson, all had nude, naked, sexting pix leaked.
We along with many others, stood around surmising that the Hollywood PR machine had simply wound itself tight around a stupid idea, naked pictures of celebrities would sell movies, seems we were way of base. In our case, we never published the Scarlett Pix, our heart just wasn’t into dishevelling such a wonderfilled actress, we did however buy into that most lurid of questions, might it all be a ruse? A French court will decide if a sex toy shop operator violated porn laws by selling his products within 200 yards of a school. Two Christian groups — the National Confederation of Catholic Family Associations (CNAFC) and the CLER Love and Family Association filed complaints against the shop manager Nicolas Busnel, charging that his store was too close to a school. Busnel went on trial today and claimed that his merchandise, that includes dildos and vibrators, are erotic but not porn.
“There are as many definitions of pornography as there are people,” said his lawyer, Richard Malka.
Busnel maintained that limiting sex toy shops to areas outside of 200 yards of educational institutions would mean the only places they could be sold would be “cemeteries, parks and on train tracks.” But a lawyer for the plaintiffs, Henri de Beauregard said there was little doubt the shop’s products were porn.
“You can say that a sex shop is a ‘love shop,’ that a dildo is a ‘sex toy’… but these are just words,” Beauregard said. “The simple truth is that we have here a sex shop that sells pornography.”
If convicted, Busnel faces two years in prison and a $40,000 fine. Malka made a motion for the case to be dismissed as unconstitutional, but was rejected by the court. Further testimony from witnesses including Busnel and a sexologist, was to be heard later by the court.

Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Madonna to keep her from singing her new song called “Girls Gone Wild” at the Super Bowl or else he’ll take legal action.
TMZ obtained the letter and reported that it also went to her “co-conspirators” NBC and the NFL. Francis’ lawyer is threatening to sue them for trying to get a “free ride on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition” of Francis’ trademark.
Francis’ Nevada lawyer David Houston, states that he first became aware of Madonna’s new track based on the presales of her new album MDNA on iTunes and that “the number one song on the album is titled “Girls Gone Wild.’”
In the letter, Houston says “Mr. Francis and Girls Gone Wild have worked tirelessly for an excess of two decades to build his brand and to protect his trademark Girls Gone Wild,” and that “Girls Gone Wild’s trade identity and trademark are extremely valuable assets which my clients protect vigorously.” :: Read the full NSFW! article »»»»
