Every now and then the folks at Gawker do something standoutish. This week Hamilton Nolan published Letters From Death Row: Brett Hartmann, Ohio Inmate 357-869.
A couple of weeks ago Gawker contributor Hamilton Nolan sent letters to each and every death row inmate in the United States penal system.
Nola asked the condemned inmates about their survival prospects, their day-to-day lives and thoughts on the US justice system, media and culture. The thought of invading the privacy of a condemned man is fraught with dilemma, unless of course A Death Row Inmate Replies!
Brett Hartman is due to be put to death on November 13, 2012 in the buckeye state, Ohio. Hartmann has been on death row since 1998, convicted of murder, his letter is enthralling to say the least :: Read the full article »»»»
